CATHEDRALS EVERYWHERE

FOR THOSE WITH MONITORS

TO SEE

Number 1 Main Road is proud to present CATHEDRALS EVERYWHERE FOR THOSE WITH MONITORS TO SEE the debut European solo exhibition by Californian-based artist Filip Kostic.

Known for his innovative use of computer parts as sculptural elements, Kostic’s latest body of work draws inspiration from classical and 14th-century French reliefs, integrating these traditional artistic techniques with the themes and imagery of his experiences growing up in the early era of personal computing. The works invite viewers to reflect on the intimate and often overlooked moments that occur in front of a computer screen.

CATHEDRALS EVERYWHERE FOR THOSE WITH MONITORS TO SEE is an exploration of how technology shapes our identities and relationships, and a reminder of the significance of these digital interactions in the broader narrative of human experience. Kostic’s fusion of classical artistic techniques with contemporary subject matter challenges us to reconsider what we choose to remember and celebrate in the age of technology.

Through these works, Kostic shows us that these small moments in front of the computer with friends are worth recording and remembering.
